Garbage Bin Horror: Pregnant Woman Stabbed to Death by Partner in Tondo

In Manila, a 28-year-old pregnant woman died after her 45-year-old live-in partner stabbed her. He then left her body in the trash in Tondo early Tuesday morning.

Security camera footage showed a tricycle on Juan Luna Street. It looked like the driver was just throwing away garbage.

But when the tricycle stopped, the driver quickly took out the woman he lived with.

Police said the victim was five months pregnant. The CCTV showed she was already dead when the suspect brought her there. She had about four or five stab wounds. The police tried to take her to the hospital, but she and her unborn baby were declared dead on arrival.

Police are investigating jealousy as a possible reason for the crime.

The suspect and the victim had been together for three years. The suspect reportedly got angry because he thought the pregnant woman was seeing other men.

When interviewed, the suspect admitted to the crime and said he wasn’t sorry for what he did.

He said he accepted that he would go to jail and apologized to his child. However, he said he didn’t care about the woman who “disrespected” him and the men she was supposedly involved with, and he wouldn’t apologize to them.

Police caught the suspect in Baliwag, Bulacan, on Wednesday afternoon after a follow-up operation.

Police said he had been going to different places and they arrested him in Baliwag. They also said he might have been planning to hurt another person connected to his live-in partner.

The suspect had been in jail before for a hostage-taking incident in Recto Avenue, Manila, in February.

Police said the suspect is now in their custody and will be charged with murder.
